Octo serves as a place where you can create components for any project in your Jira instance.
How to create a component in Octo?
- Click on Create component button.
- Add required fields - component name and project (or multiple projects) where you want to use the component.
- You can fill rest of the fields - description, component lead, default assignee (all issues linked to this component will be assigned automatically according to this setting)
- Once you’re happy with the details click on Create component button
The component is created in all selected Jira project and is accessible in Octo
